How to Record your Voice in Windows - as
compiled by MaryLou White Make
sure your mic is plugged in then look in the start menu for the
Sound Recorder. It comes built in to windows.

To set the file size to one that is appropriate for
on the internet, go to file, then properties, choose from the drop
down box "recording formats" then hit "convert now" there should be
a box come up with cd quality, radio quality and telephone quality.
Set it on radio quality.
Push on the Start button and start talking. The
little green line will sort of bounce around which means it's
working.. it's recording.
When you're done, click the Stop button.

If you want to re-do it, click File\New and start
over. When you get one you like, click File\save and save it as
yourname.wav
To listen to the recording, move the little dial
all the way to the left and click the arrow right in the middle.
That will let you hear it.
If you don't have a mic, I hear Wal-Mart has them for less than $5
US - and it's a fun experience!!
